Do you know we can book maximum 2 transaction between 8 am and 10 am per IP Address / User ID. This means we can book only 2 tickets per IP address, this will affect most of the users who try to book the Online Ticket from the Office, College etc. IRCTC introduced restriction of booking ticket from 8 am to 10 am, for avoiding extra rush of ticket booking during the peak hours. Following screen shot shows the message appear when you try to Book IRCTC Ticket Online for the E-Ticket or I-Ticket.

What is your opinion this will resolve the peak time Ticket booking errors and waiting time for booking the ticket?

Absolutely nonsesical decision by IRCTC leading to breeding of corruption, and also bringing back long queues at Railway Stations for CK booking in the morning, have to stand/ly down for hours before night !!!!! The intention was to reduce visits to Railway stations for booking.
ReplyDeleteI dont know who is able to use the services of irctc.co.in within 8.00 AM to 10.00 AM. I have never got success even login to my account in this time. I think this high time to realise that htere is requirement of partial privatisation of railway. Actually, railway is not able to accomodate all the wait listed passengers. It is not fair to take money not giving services.
ReplyDeleteWhen i tried to get a ticket from IRCTC side at 08AM ,i am always unsuccessful due to hang of side. Please arrange the side easy to open who want ticket from home.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your valuable replays..
ReplyDeleteIRCTC I believe is one of the good sight for online reservation.

INDIA is heading back instead of improving or developing. Worst decision.... Rubbish timings and logic... NON SENSE....
ReplyDeleteBut the thing is if anyone want to book ticket for tatkal. he should take a half day leave for office/college or what ever.because nw its changed to 10 am na it is office and college timing. how they can book a ticket by thier self??
ReplyDeleteFor tatkal ticket at railway counters people use to stand from 4 A.M. Now it is going to change at 10 A.M. I wonder still people wait from 4-10 A.M. for the tickets. But what about the people who need to go office but now they have to take leave for TATKAL bookings, everyone knows IRCTC server won't work properly at 8-10 A.M. so y don't u continue booking tatkal tickets 2 per single a/c ?
ReplyDeleteit will give more scope for corruption and affects lots to common man.it would be a big problem for employees as they have to reach the office by 10am..its not citizen friendly decision...
