Indian Railways announced that, the passenger fare revision announced on the Indian Rail Budget 2012- 2013 will apply from April 1 st on wards.Following are the announcement details
From 1st April, 2012, the passenger fare revision as per Railway Budget:2012-13 for various classes of train travel will come into effect.
The Passenger fares of First AC Class, Second AC Class, First Class and Executive Chair Car Class have gone up with effect from 1st April, 2012. This upward revision in fares will also apply to the tickets reserved in advance for journeys commencing on or after 1stApril, 2012.
Passengers who have already reserved their tickets for journeys commencing on or after 1stApril, 2012 in these classes should pay the difference of fare at the nominated counters at the starting station or in the train to the Travelling Ticket Examiners (TTE).
