PUNE - ERNAKULAM SUPERFAST TRAIN TIME FIXED

Train announced in the Railbudget Pune - Ernakulam train time fixed by the Indian Railways. The train start from Pune on Wednesday and Sunday at 6.45 PM. The train will arrive Panvel at 9.30PM and the train arived the Ernakulam next day 7 pm. The train starting from Ernakulam will leave at 5.15AM on Tuesday and Friday. This train will arrive Panvel at 2.40AM and will reach Pune at 5.50AM.

The train having stopes at Chitwad, Lonavala,Karjath, Panvel, Roha, Chiplun, Ratnagiri, Kankavli, Sawantwadi, Karmali, Madgaon, Karwar, Kumta, Udupi, Mangalore Jn, Kasargod, Kannur, Kozhikkode, Shoranur, Thrissur. In this having other than pantry car 17 coaches will be there. Two 3AC, One 2AC, 8 Sleeper Class.

The train starting from Pune will run according to the Mumbai - Ernakulam Duronto time will keep.

  7. pls change the time of Departure from pune. because this train will be usful for kokan people. it will reach at kankwali at mid night. & there will be problem for travel to villages. Departure time should be around 9 to 10 pm

  13. It’s celebration time for the nearly four lakh Malayalees settled in Pune. The much-awaited Pune-Ernakulam superfast train will take off on November 27, when Minister of State for Railways E Ahmed will flag off the inaugural run from Ernakulam at 5.30 am. It will reach Pune at 5.50 am on November 28. The railway office will put up the passenger reservation system (PRS) in two days.



    Divisional railway manager (Central Railways) Prasad Sahai said all issues had been resolved for the train announced in the budget. “We got the confirmation this afternoon. We are now awaiting a formal notification for putting up the time table for booking.”



    Pune Malayalee Federation president Rajan Nair said it was a long pending demand of Keralites. PMC’s programme committee chairman PC Nambiar said they had met the DRM on Wednesday. “It was confirmed on Wednesday that the Pune-Ernakulam train will be operational by the end of this week. Earlier, our delegation had met the railway authorities who were considering a special train to meet the expectation of Sabarimala devotees travelling to Kerala this season. Later, it was decided that the train announced in the budget will be introduced.”

  14. The Ernakulam-Pune-Ernakulam (2519/2520) bi-weekly superfast express which will cover the distance in 24 hours and 15 minutes is expected to reduce travel time by at least five hours and 35 minutes.

    The train's maiden run will be flagged off from Ernakulam on Saturday, while the train from Pune to Ernakulam will run on Sunday.

    It is among the four new ones announced during the railway budget 2010-11 presented by Mamata Banerjee. The other trains included Pune-Bhubaneswar weekly, Pune-Jaipur weekly and Pune-Howrah bi-weekly AC Duronto express.

    According to public relations officer of Central Railway Pune division Suhas Lohakare, "It will be the first train from Pune to run on the Konkan railway route via Panvel, Sawantwadi, Mangalore, Kannur and Kozhikode. There has been a consistent demand for a regular train on this route from the Malayali community in Pune."

    The Pune-Ernakulam (2520) train will run every Wednesday and Sunday at 6.45 pm, and will reach the destination on Thursday and Monday at 7 pm respectively. The Ernakulam-Pune (2519) train will run every Friday and Tuesday at 5.15 am and will reach Pune station on Saturday and Wednesday at 5.50 am respectively.

    The train will have 17 coaches, including one two-tier AC and three-tier AC, seven sleeper, six unreserved and two SLR coaches. It will also halt at Madgaon and Shornur stations.
